Three-Dimensional design
For my internship I worked for Niho Ceramics in Barcelona. I developed my skills in ceramics and learned the craftsmanship from scratch. At the end of this period I had an assignment to make a lamp collection. I inspired the collection of cells an shapes of growing objects like humans of plants mechanism.

The other part of my time here I worked as an interieur designer to put a fresh and fitting atmosphere in the studio.
like the murals and shelves.

Pebbles
My graduation assignment is a plaster table top with a clay frame underneath.
The process of erosion, due to the flow of water and loose sediment, creates a polishing effect of stones. They round off.
An art piece inspired by the worn stones, pebbles, that form the top in combination with the organic shape of the meandering river that reflects the frame.

Shadowbox consisting of layers plexiglas engraved with the laser cutter. I took the whale as the subject. The object consists of 3 layers with a different part of this beautiful beast on each layer. On 1 layer are the intestines, on the other the skeleton and the last the veins. All this stands on a narrow wooden stand.

Styling

Styling
I had the opportunity to restyle a rehabilitation room at MCL hospital in Leeuwarden. I came up with the theme Dutch countryside with cows. Lots of greenery which was good for the outdoor feeling which gives peace of mind to the patients. this way the patients are more motivated to recover by moving

Architecture

Architecture
I designed this building for an Iceland project. A visitor center between the 2 techonic plates.
The design completely disappears from nature but stands out because of its modern shapes inspired by the shapes of a killer whale.

On the left side you see the mixed media end product and the other image shows the miniature made of clay form of the building.
